WINNER’s new album ‘CROSS’ represents the crossing (x) of four different members, each with their own direction and color, coming together to combine (+) under the name ‘WINNER’ and making their way into a new direction. The album contains WINNER’s relationship, WINNER’s music, and a story that’s unique to WINNER. 

 

The title track ‘SOSO’ was created by Kang Seung Yoon and AiRPLAY. The song is about feeling swept up in hurt and resentment inside after a breakup, but putting on a façade of calmness and indifference and describing that state as just being ‘SOSO’. In contrast to the moods of ‘summer’ and ‘freshness’ that has become WINNER’s signature sound, there’s anticipation that we may be able to see WINNER’s take on autumnal emotions. 

 

This album will contain Lee Seung Hoon’s first official solo track ’FLAMENCO’, Kang Seung Yoon’s solo track ‘WIND’, the Song Min Ho-produced track ’Don’t Be Shy’, and more. It’s expected that this will allow the opportunity for the members to display their musical individuality as solo artists, as well as the overall group’s capability to continue to show a growth in their music in multiple directions.
