Below the large text that reads ‘SOSO’, the four members, dressed in white, casual suits, sit in a destroyed car. Either with their eyes closed or gazing into the distance, the WINNER members evoke a desolate, deserted atmosphere. 

 

The song is about feeling swept up in hurt and resentment inside after a breakup, but putting on a façade of calmness and indifference and describing that state as just being ‘SOSO’. In contrast to the moods of ‘summer’ and ‘freshness’ that has become WINNER’s signature sound, there’s anticipation that we may be able to see WINNER’s take on autumnal emotions. 

 

‘SOSO was written and produced by Kang Seung Yoon, with lyrics also written by Song Min Ho and Lee Seung Hoon. YG producer AiRPLAY joined in the production and arrangement of the song, elevating the song’s perfection.

 

As the title may suggest, WINNER’s third mini-album, ‘CROSS’, signifies the way four different members have come together to become a new cross point, and contains insight into their relationship•music•story. 

 

It’s expected that there will be an opportunity for the members to display their musical individuality as solo artists, as well as to feel the group’s capability to continue to show a growth in their music in multiple directions.
