cross special valentine's day live

- they wanted to perform with the band today but it was hard to work out with the sudden changes/small space so they're working with regular MR/concert MR today! this was originally supposed to be ~1 hr but the runtime is gonna be like a concert, based on the vibes it might run longer 

 

- the first corner of tonight is about the preparation process behind getting ready for the cross tour. the first keyword is
'medley'. they were gonna do a 10 min+ medley of smile again + go up + different for the encore concert as like.. an homage for winner's beginnings 

 

- the second keyword is 'movie star'. they had re-arranged it for the encore for it to be more touching ): hoon said if there's a chance it would be nice to share it with ICs

 

- the 3rd is 're-encore'. yoon mentions that they covered dddd during the bangkok stop. many fans mentioned that they wanted to see it with their own eyes in korea so they were going to perform it again at the encore stop.. & they're gonna do it now but they haven't practiced since bangkok

 

- they matched up outfits specifically for this performance because they said if they were gonna do this thing...let's go all the way. hence the matching sparkly jackets 

 

- hoon asks how come during performances of their own songs they do it calmly and sitting down but for someone else's songs they get up to put on their outfits, dance, and everything LOL yoon says this was all hoon's fault/his idea 

 

- yoon originally was against the idea of performing dddd.. but he eventually conceded and he ended up practicing harder than anyone else 

 

- missed the 4th keyword but the last is 'inner circle's choice'! it's in reference to the songs ICs sent in for songs they want to listen to during the 'concert'

- they explain that with song 4 u since it was written/arranged by someone in japan, it's difficult for them to sing rn 

 

- one of the comments reads "the world's first concert with 560,000 people...you should make us pay for this" mino gets serious and says "ok. sure. well. better for us." 

 

- another comment reads "oppa, i'm crying" hoon replies "hm.. i guess something unfortunate happened... i hope you'll stop crying" lol

 

- the concept for the opening vcr was hoon's idea. the idea of running somewhere like they're being chased. the members refer to that vcr as "running in mullae-dong" and they consider what's really happening in the video 

 

- yoon says they're chasing after ICs but it seems like they're also being chased too. hoon says those are questions from fans asking "when's the new album?! when's the next comeback?!" and they're running to the studio they're saying "we're going to go record!! we're on our way to make new music!!!" 

 

- mino talks about how he fully tripped & fell down while filming his running scene. he says it hurt(?) but he got up & continued to run again. he realized...this would look really cool on camera. unfortunately it was only captured through the heli-cam so it wasn't included in the final version

 

- hoon gets everyone to say together that he's the protagonist/main character in this vcr

 

- the middle vcr where they gather at the bar is all completely ad-libbed. they were just given the general gist/concept and they came up with all the nicknames and everything that they said in the segment

 

- they had a lot of time to film the opening sequence (this was the first thing hoon filmed after he cut his hair) but they filmed the middle vcr segment in a hurry because they were short on time

 

- this is from the middle vcr when they do their interviews in the studio. one of the questions is on why they do music...
jinu: i get healed by healing others through singing
hoon: i'm happiest when i sing and dance
mino: i have so much fun making music, fueling that curiosity and creativity
yoon: i love singing and making music more than listening 

 

- they're talking about how when they make music they always put into consideration how it would be on stage/doing it with the fans. it's also a lot of fun and they find it really cute to see ICs caught off guard by the small edits they make for the concert version of the songs. for really really for example, hoon+yoon took about an added beat when they're quiet but all the ICs scream "neol joahae" and jinu replies "i like you more!" 

 

- they move on to talk about different events they held during their tour. hoon was actually surprised by their birthday celebration event at bangkok. mino notes that hoon is usually really keen about these types of events for him, but hoon said he had an extremely pure heart so he wasn't suspicious that they would attempt to pull anything. 

 

- there was a special a4 sized poster for hoon's bday that they pasted on literally every surface that hoon would see, like backstage, in the elevator, in the changing room, etc. on the day of the concert 

 

- they talked about all their birthday events, and how yoon got to celebrate like three times. yoon said he felt almost apologetic because he wasn't sure if it was ok to celebrate his bday this many times, but also really really thankful for everyone 

 

- in macau they went to see the house of dancing water macau and they were totally blown away by the performance. jinwoo couldn't join because he came on a later flight, but hoon said he wanted to buy a flight ticket for jinwoo to fly in immediately to watch with them 

 

- their christmas event costumes were rental😂 so they were told to take good care of it/not rip it. but yoon was too hyped he tossed his rudolph's nose into the crowd and he got in so much trouble after cus the costumes were from someone a staff knew personally 

 

- doing a cover dance of tala was hoon's idea but it was sandara who let him know before how popular 'tala' was. hoon studied the tala choreography during his flight, and when he showed it for the first time in the concert venue for practice, they were all so impressed at how cool it looked/how well hoony prepared

 

- hoon kinda wanted to dance to tala again but since the song isn't ready they wait. jinu suggests he does it without the song and an IC can add in the music later. hoon stands up to do it again and mino remarks that hoon's dance line for tala is especially really pretty

 

- they brainstormed so much about all the events they can do during the stops not only to create special memories for the fans but also because it's so much more fun for them to change it up every once in a while

 

- they're talking about cool ways to zone out during the more slow-tempo songs.
mino: "what?! you zone out during the concert?! this is shocking!!"
hoon: "you don't really zone out, you're just like.. catching your breath in a cool way" 

 

- hoon says he thinks it's also crucial that you drink water in a cool way. every concert venue has a different heat/humidity level, so it's important to drink up your water in between songs but there's..apparently a cool way to do it 

 

- mino remembers once during ah yeah where he saw hoon attempt to drink water in the most unexpected moment. he was so surprised/impressed how in the middle of the choreography he swiped up the water to drink it and put it back. hoon says he tends to drinks water more than other members during shows

 

- yoon talks about how another highlight of their concerts were the various slogans that ICs prepared at every stop. they're going to make their very own slogans now for us for today's concert

 

- yoon worries about the audio being too quiet while they're writing this but hoon says that's exactly why he's written the slogan out in advance.
yoon: whoa..i got chills [from your preparation]
hoon: come on, how long have we been in this business? how long have we been doing this? we gotta be prepared 

 

- his slogan is "when we say part ways, let's meet again, kisskisskiss!" it's a line from a famous korean children's song
hoon: though we're saying bye for a short while, we'll meet again! 

 

- hoon tried to incorporate lyrics of a song the same way ICs always incorporate winner's lyrics into their slogans 

a fan changes the line to "when we part ways, let's meet again, ddoddoddo (againagainagain)" [in reference to call anytime]

and hoon remembers how during concerts whenever jinu comes down and sees hoon, that would be the exact moment yoon begins to sing the "call anytime" chorus. they would joke and wonder "is this his song or something...?" but yoon said he wanted to prolong his moment with ICs even just for a few more seconds

 

- mino's slogan is "in a spring without flowers, Inseos are in full bloom" but it can also mean "in a spring without flowers, there are a million Inseos"

- jinu's slogan is "Inseo and WINNER, we're in that exact place" but can also mean "Inseo, we and you are in that exact place" 

 

- yoon's slogan: "just as there's a goodbye at the end of an encounter, so there will always be an 'again' at the end of a short wait. we will meet!" inspired by the lyrics from soso 

 

- jinu changed the lyrics of "air" halfway during their live performance to say "at the end of an exhausting day / i now get to smile for sure / because inseos are there" instead of "because you are there"

 

- they're taking turns to say their final comments:
jinu: i didn't know this would be such a comfortable vlive. i had a lot of fun!! 

hoon: i think i poured everything for all the inseos who are heading home after this. it's regretful we couldn't spend the actual encore together. but having all these international ICs and just casual kpop fans come in to watch is also more meaningful in its own way 

mino: we're content with how everyone seemed to enjoy the show. i'm satisfied, i think i'll sleep well tonight.
hoon mentions that yoon's been experiencing insomnia/hard time sleeping because of everything that's going on and how apologetic he feels ): but he says he thinks he'll sleep well tonight 

 

- seungyoon gives a spoiler about their comeback!! they're releasing one song (like a single?) first, then will comeback again with a full album. so there's gonna be two comebacks! yoon received confirmation with the company and everything and got permission to share today

 

- they ask us to wait patiently for the new album that's to come and they say goodbye🥺💙
