200120 yoon's birthday vlive

they shared that they're doing an encore concert on the 14th. they acknowledged that the venue is smaller but to get places like the gymnastics arena they have to request for it half a year/a year in advance, and they booked the new venue like 5 days ago 

they weren't even sure if it would be possible to do encore until v recently. mino jokes that they were considering busking somewhere randomly as their encore concert. but they're saying the new venue might be better w/ the acoustics, that it's a place more built for an actual concert and they promise that the encore concert is gonna be more fun and more exciting!

yoon and hoon caught a cold ): 

hoon suggests that they mix up a birthday drink for yoon, but they say they shouldn't do anything like that since this is the regular channel not ch+ LOL 

yoon said he wanted to do a tour of his birthday promo/displays/events like hoon did but his neck started hurting all of a sudden and he was unable to 

yoon talks about how it was one of his goals to read the books that his fans gifted him! one of them asks for a particular line that really stood out to him, but yoon says he just takes pictures of these things rather than memorizing them 

yoon reads out a part of a poem he took a picture of:
"if you can't forget, then that's love"
jinu: "what?!"
yoon: "if you can't forget, then that's love!"
hoon: "what?! what do you mean itzy is bad? do you have any idea how good itzy is???"

*so to forget "잊지" sounds like ITZY and "잊지 못하다/can't forget" can sound like "ITZY is bad" so hoon deadpans and asked yoon "what?! what do you mean itzy is bad?"

 

yoon wanted to do his vlive at a karaoke place. mino asks why they didn't do it b/c he was looking forward to it, but hoon apparently had said he wanted to buy yoon's bday dinner so they wanted to do sth according to that.
mino: "ok then let's film until the part where he pays" 

they keep teasing their manager to work better with the camera T_T to make the angles more dynamic and to make the audience feel more immersed in the scenario LOL 

mino came back from filming something today!
hoon: how's it going?
mino: uh, it's good, i'm having fun.
hoon: ....you call that a sincere answer?! i'm asking u how it was!!
mino: just in case it becomes a spoiler idk what to say!!!! 

but mino goes on to elaborate, and says ppl who were a fan of him in njttw and know him as the mojiri/dummy image will be surprised/impressed. this new variety is around topics that he's interested in, and he comes off as very smart in this show and he reveals a diff side 

yoon shares that mino has friends from seoul nat'l university, and they used to have lengthy conversations, and his SNU friends would be impressed and say that he was definitely on a different level from average ppl in terms of his intellect 

yoon: wbu jinwoo! what did u do today!
jinwoo: i was home today
hoon: yeah, no wonder, there's nothing on your ears.

apparently if you squeeze your ears and they hurt that means you have a lot of stress/ur not in good health, but jinwoo feels fine as hoon squeezes his ears 

they ask mino for the latest updates in the science world.
mino: there's an annual conference they hold...
hoon: what's the name?
mino: i don't know. i don't really need to.
hoon: isn't it CES? the one held in las vegas. pls check for us.... 

mino: so they had discussions about the latest AI...
hoon: your eyes are moving around a lot
mino: well i just don't know how much i should dumb it down for you guys🤣 

 

hoon: how far has the AI world come in your professional opinion?
mino: there is no definitive answer in science.
hoon: just in your opinion!
mino: the AI world has advanced far more than we think. there's sth called deep learning(?) (and he explains deep learning)
jinwoo: woah~ 

they turn back to the comments to see what everyone is saying
mino: i can answer any and all of your questions.
jinwoo reads out a comment: "kang seung yoon, you don't wanna listen, right?" 

 

hoon got yoon a gift thru 1-day order/delivery
mino: you know i still haven't gotten mine, right? it hasn't arrived! (hoon's gift to him)

hoon got yoon the latest airpods! he says they're all using the original model cus it's the most comfortable, but the latest model has noise canceling.
jinu: but isn't that dangerous...?
hoon: it could be, yes. but since our seungyoon works on music and stuff too... 

mino explains the detailed mechanics of the airpods' noise cancellation system but yoon and hoon are too busy unwrapping the gift behind only jinwoo is listening to him LMAOO 

yoon is very impressed how well the noise cancellation works.
jinu: (jokes) i know why it cancels noise. because it has the tip that fits perfectly in your ears.
hoon: nono it's because of that frequency thing 

jinu didn't show up with a gift apparently LMAOO hoon tells jinu to hurry up and get it since yoon is actually expecting sth... so jinu takes off his ring and gives it to him. "this is my favorite ring. take it." 

hoon suggests that yoon gives something to trade then. they start talking about yoon's photo of his customized watches
yoon: i didn't do it to show off my wealth or anything! just to show that i customized it
mino: ok but we never said anything about you showing off. that's all u 

they're talking about hairstyle regulations that their schools had and stuff to fill up the 3mins left till it's yoon's birthday. but they cut him off T_T jinwoo says it lasted for 3 seconds rather than 3 minutes LOL hoon says to just bring out the cake now. 

hoon hands a "1" balloon to yoon and says "let's hit #1, yoon!" they bring otu the cake but the lettering is smudged it's supposed to say "you know our feelings, right? keep it💙" they tease the staff and ask who ate the cake before they did. the cake is in the shape of a rolex~~ 

yoon said he felt bad that he couldn't get a chance to talk with ICs recently, and since they were all getting together to have a meal he thought it would be a good idea to do a vlive instead.
hoon: you have such a kind heart, yoon.
yoon: ? suddenly?? it was all of us~ 

yoon said he was going to spend time with family and friends tomorrow, but he has to rest because of his condition
mino: wait...you have friends??
yoon: 😔stop it....why r u doing this...ur my friend....i was gonna hang out with you....🥺 

they go back to making sure that hoon is paying for dinner and to end the vlive with him making the purchase.

hoon: wait but did i bring my wallet....?
mino+yoon+jinu: dude come on
hoon: you gotta tell me about these things ahead of time you know? like in advance! 

someone comments asking yoon to make a wish. he says sth but they ask him for something more personal, and it's for him to release his solo album before the end of the year... and for winner's album to come out too. they ask him for sth they can grant tonight 

they take turns singing a song for yoon, and mino starts by singing "dummy kang seung yoon~ you'll die if you cheat on me~ i celebrated your birthday~ " and they tease the camera person AGAIN saying they didn't even capture yoon's reaction during the dummy part LMAO 

hoon says he can't sing because his voice is killing him, so he does an acrostic instead
kang: a strong guy
seung: that's seunghoon
yoon: and yoon is a weak guy

and he says let's call it a day LMAO 

jinu beings to sing trigger as his bday song. he says it's a song that he likes, and yoon agrees that it's a good song 

mino tries an acrostic "heart thief"

he says he can't finish it because he's just come back from filming a very STEM show, so he's not in the right mind space 

 

seungyoon suggests that they go around talking about who he is to them
jinu: to me, seungyoon is...a garlic.
mino: the more you peel...?
yoon: i'm smelly?
jinu: no! it's sth you need. it goes in every single dish (in korea)
yoon: amazing
hoon: that's it? yoon is a garlic to you?! 

hoon: yoon is...a rolex, to me. it may not be the #1 watch brand, but many people like it. a brand that we like. so it resembles you. you are #1 in my heart. we may not be #1 in the world, but you are #1 in my heart. 

mino: to me...yoon...is a work colleague.
yoon: could you elaborate?
mino: work colleague. these two words, they seem very rigid. the relationship seems close, but not.
yoon: right.
mino: well that's exactly it. that's accurate. that's all there is to us 

mino: yoon is...just the image i'm thinking of, idk how to explain...he feels like a doll like this big. a kinda furry doll. considering his age he's the youngest, but he's the leader so he has responsibility. 

mino: i've witnessed him putting so much thought into everything regarding winner, so i've felt bad for him quite often...
