mino / 'brrrfriends' naver now ep.1

The POMN oath as MCs for their new Naver NOW show:

We solemnly swear that we will generously show the audience the vibes of our true, genuine friendship without any lies or embellishments.

1. We won't get upset at each other over comments made during the show for the purpose of fun;
2. We won't argue to only play songs that one of us likes;
3. If one of us begins to lose it, the other will come back to their senses and bring the show to a safe conclusion.

 

 

- when mino's about to promote that streaming the show is free of charge he asks for a bgm to play & snaps his fingers like he's calling for a butler but there's no music😂p.o steps in & clarifies that since this is a pilot everyone's still trying to figure out how to be in sync 

 

- mino calls p.o "p.o" but he insists that he calls him "jihoon" instead🥺

- they also explain that tho plans/schedules for their show is confirmed, this is called a "pilot" because they haven't come up with a name for the show despite a five-hour meeting they had with the staff. 

 

- the first part of the show is for TMIs. the staff was continuously suspicious that pomn's relationship was strictly business only. p.o says nowadays it really is heading towards in that direction. mino says they're halfway there, but they must maintain it for them to get their bread&butter. but p.o insists that they are really close though, and that he actually even got mino an LP as a gift today.

MN: you idiot!
PO: ?
MN: you can't be the one to say that! i have to say it for you to look cool!
PO: ... but this is TMI time isn't that what i was supposed to do..? 

mino explains that from time to time p.o will randomly get him a gift which makes his heart flutter. when they came in to record the show today p.o gave mino a few LPs that he had been enjoying recently. apparently mino's been really into listening to music via records recently 

 

- p.o remembers random facts about you and will buy you gifts related to that 🥺

- another question is how often they meet in a week. mino says it's really only whenever they have sth to film, and p.o says that's twice a week, once for mapo hipsters, another for the naver show 

 

- TMI #3: p.o says mino loves burritos. the slightly-spicy ones. but mino says it's been a few months since he got tired of eating them all the time.

- TMI#4: they call each other about 3-4 during the week. they facetime often too, whenever they're bored 

 

- mino's confused why p.o has his hair styled since he was told he was home all day. p.o says he thought it would be nice for their first show&the fans might appreciate it too. mino feels betrayed..he didn't get anything styled. p.o called him earlier to update but he didn't pick up 

 

- next TMI - what do you have each other saved as on your phones?

MN: i can tell you right away. i have jihoon saved as "brother pyoji". from what i know, jihoon has me saved as "song min ho"
PO: it was, but i changed it a few years ago to "my most precious sunflower" ... 
MN:it's crucial to establish trust w/ our listeners! what's ur hand doing rn!
PO:my phone..

- name suggestion #2: "how about jiho? JI-hoon and min-HO! actually cus my name is jiho too❤️"

- name suggestion #3: pyo-song pyo-song (a play on bbo-song which means fluffy/soft/fuzzy)

MN: the reason why this caught my eye earlier was cus when i messaged the winner gc about name sug. jinwoo suggested this, so i ignored the message. cus it was no fun.
PO: yeah, it really is. 

po says alarm really is one of his favorite songs but it also makes him feel sad.

- apparently po's been wearing earphones instead of headphones b/c he got his hair styled. his right piece kept falling off but he realized it was b/c he had the left side on instead this whole time 

 

- name suggestion 4: "we're ji-song" (play on i'm/we're sorry; sorry = jwe-song)

MN: i think this is cute.

- Q: when's the last time you guys got into a major argument?

PO: hmm... i don't think that's happened since HS.. i don't even remember fighting back then either
MN: yeah, since we're strictly business only..
PO: purely business. we really don't fight tho
MN: we know too much about each other to get into fights

PO: it always differs, but when it's a lot we drink about 2-3 bottles (of soju?)

mino asks zico for name suggestions since he is a man of great ideas. they explain their candidates, but zico doesn't understand "we're ji-song" and doesn't like "mp3" LOL

ZC: how about 'don't hate (mi-ho) us'? (hate=mi-wo) like MI-nHo and p-HO'
PO: 🤢
MN: you've lost ur touch.. 
ZC: or how about 'why do you hate (mi-ho) us~?'
MN: i'm pretty disappointed in u right now
PO: *choking* i can just imagine him laughing out of self-satisfaction

- they call ask zion t for his opinions. he thinks "we're ji-song" and "pyo-song pyo-song" are cute ideas/could do a lot w/ them for the logo, but he can't even remember the last option

zion t says he can't think of any original names for them right now b/c it's so late at night he can only think of weird names that he can't say on a live broadcast lol he thinks 'ji-song' (sorry) is good but as show title he's not sure,, cus they have nothing to be sorry for 

 

they promised to give zico some time to think and to call him back in ten minutes, but it's been way past that and they've forgotten so they quickly call him back:

zico: u know how they say a 'song for you', right? like 'here's a song for you'. so how about 'song pyo you' instead!

they keep making fun of him and say that this name has been suggested by many others in the comments

ok so......i'm gonna explain what "brrrrfriends" means: long story short it's just what guys sometimes say in reference to a 'best friend' but the way mino/po are saying it as a pg version of..lmao idk how to explain it but literally it's like balls friends?? friends since the nut?? i want to say it basically means you've been best friends forever, friends since birth, friends even before u were conceived that's how tight yall are but obviously they can't say that word on live broadcast so they went with "brrr" to also be more ~hiphop~ rather than "bural"
